Our Commitment To Your Protection

As a dedicated dental team, we are concerned about patient protection from infectious diseases. Each time a patient visits our office, a very special trust is placed into our hands. We do not take this trust lightly. That is why we are committed to providing maximum protection to you, our patient, against any kind of infectious disease. Many hours have gone into the design of our infection-control system. We are constantly evaluating and updating our procedures.

Infection controls and universal precautions protect clients and staff alike. Everyone benefits from rigorous infection control you, your dentist, and the dental team.

Dr. Glen and Dustin Kreitzberg and their entire team follow procedures recommended by several federal agencies: the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). These measures include:

- Disinfectant hand soap and Instant Hand Sanitizer
- Gloves and face masks
- Hospital-grade chemical disinfection of counter tops and room surfaces
- Sterilization of all equipment before every use
- Disposable materials

We sterilize all reusable equipment, including dental hand pieces. We use a Statim as well as an autoclave. These are devices that kill bacteria and viruses by steam, heat and pressure.

Between each patient, the treatment rooms are thoroughly wiped with a surface disinfectant. The instruments are put through a system of ultrasonic scrubbing (the same system a jeweler might use to clean fine jewelry) and then sterilized with a large, pressurized steam oven called an autoclave.

There are many, fine details which are entailed in our infection-control system. Our staff members are thoroughly trained in infection-control procedures.

We hope by making you, our patient, more aware of what measures are being taken on our behalf, that your trust and confidence in our team will make your visits a little more comfortable.

The best defense against disease is information. If you have any questions regarding our office’s diligent infection control practices, feel free to call us at 631-543-5555.
